It grows up to 20 metres (66 feet) tall with a stout trunk and sword-like leaves, which are clustered at the tips of the branches and can be up to 1 metre (3 feet 3 inches) long. Peduncle to 100 × 3–4 mm. long, shining, two sides flat and one convex. Tiny white blooms appear on dark red stems in summer. Cordyline pumilio Hook.f. Flowers small, widely spaced; pedicels 3-5(-10) mm long, Perianth c.4–5 mm long, whitish, or pink externally; tepals narrow, recurved, 3-nerved. Cordyline is a woody flowering plant that is native to New Zealand, Australia, South America and the western Pacific Ocean regions.
