Likewise, Amir al-Mu’minin says, “Glory be to the One who expands His mercy for His friends in the severity of His trial, and who intensifies His tribulation for his enemies in the expanse of His mercy.” From this becomes clear the hidden meaning of Amir al-Mu’minin’s, “Paradise is surrounded by trials and the fire is surrounded by lower desires,” indicating that there is an isthmus between two contrasting attributes.The Essence together with a specific attribute and under the aspect of its particular epiphanies is called a “name”.
