Mela Biriyani Basmati rice cooked in butter with pieces of shrimp, fish, chicken, lamb, beef, paneer (cheese), vegetables, nuts, raisins garnished w/ fresh mint. info. Perfectly spiced Indian cuisine and a very generous portion.
We have a friend that is gluten free and this place is her favorite restaurant. I wonder if that was the difference because lunch is a reasonably-priced buffet + fresh naan. I really wish they would just take off the organic options because not ONE single time have they actually have them. There was a lack of depth and subtlety in the flavourings. It was the 4th and a quiet evening. The place was entirely empty except for me and another guy. That's it..no-one else was there for lunch. The mgr did offer free alcohol drink for the trouble. The highlight of this place for me is the ambience--it's intimate and feels very authentic. The place itself is quite compact and not overly appealing but staff were friendly enough and great value for money.
