Furthermore, although Portugal’s capital city is large, the country of Portugal is small, which would allow some events more suitable in terrain away from Lisbon possible, as one can reach Porto in the north or Algarve in the south within 4-5 hours. as of 2008, portugal has not won more than 1 gold medal and 3 medals overall at a single olympic game.
