The rain connects several incidents and Althea-Prabhu's stories begin to intertwine.Unlike Althea, who is an Anglo-Indian independent woman working in an IT company, the men in Taramani are,Althea learns about Prabhu's past-- a BPO employee, whose life was perfect until his girlfriend (played by Anjali) broke him apart.
However, the message is clear -- that a man's disguised misogyny inevitably shows up. The possessive nature of today’s youth has been projected in a realistic manner.After a passable narration in the first half, the film’s pace drops in the second half with a crawling narration.
Production values for this limited budget film are okay.On the whole, Taramani is a realistic drama which showcases the over possessiveness of today’s youth towards their loved ones. It's a nice line coming from a stranger.
The camera slowly pans to several buildings across Tamarani. Ram, the narrator, wryly says, "Did you guys have a problem when they constructed apartments on the river banks?"
